The newly formed First Coast Crime Stoppers is one of over 1,000 non-profit national and international programs enjoying great success in the fight against crime.  The mission of the program is to receive information anonymously and pay rewards for the tips leading to arrests.  Crime Stoppers partners with law enforcement agencies, the media, and the community in solving crimes and getting criminals off the streets.

The Crime Stoppers program began in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1976 and boasts of an average conviction rate of 95% on cases solved by Crime Stopper tips.  Programs worldwide have solved over a half a million crimes and recovered over 3 billion dollars worth of stolen property and narcotics.
