On October 28th, 2009 at approximately 6:05 p.m., Brandon Jamal Whaley (15 years of age) was shot and killed while at 3162 2nd Street Circle.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance from the public regarding ANY information related to the murder of Brandon Whaley.  Investigators are trying to determine whether the murder was related to possible drug activity involving 3162 2nd Street Circle, or any of the victim's previous arrests including a prior sexual battery.  Specifically, investigators need information about who was with the victim and their activities leading up to the murder.

This is still an active ongoing investigation.
