The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office administers the application and issuance of alarm registration decals as required by the City of Jacksonville Municipal Code. Click here for Municipal Ordinance section 168.102 which explains the requirements.
The required fee is $10.

Failure to properly register, operate or maintain any such alarm is subject to civil penalty. Click here for Municipal Ordinance sections 168.104 and 168.106 which explains the requirements and penalties.

Application for registration of a residential alarm, business alarm, or commercial installer/monitoring operation shall be submitted to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office:

The application for alarm registration may also be obtained in person by visiting the Sheriff's Office main location or any of the Zone Sub Stations in your area during regular business hours, excluding weekends and holidays.

The Office of the Sheriff currently accepts cash, checks, cashiers checks and money orders as payment at all locations.

Alarm Contractors
In addition to any requirements established within the City of Jacksonville Municipal Code (Section 168), all alarm contractors must also comply with Section 342. False Alarm Citation Payments

False Alarm Citation Invoices issued by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office can now be paid online. In order to make a payment log on to: https://jsoalarmcitationpayment.coj.net/Home.aspx

Payments must be made with a credit card and will be processed though Official Payments Corporation. Official Payments Corporation will collect a small processing fee for each payment. The processing fee is not paid to the City of Jacksonville.

 Payments will be credited to your account the next business day after payment is received.

False Alarm Citation Invoices issued by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office can also be made at the Duval County Tax Collectors Office located at 231 E. Forsythe Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202. All payments made at the Duval County Tax Collectors Office must be made in cash or checks.
