The Warrants Unit is responsible
for maintaining all capiases, custody orders, injunctions, affidavits, writs and warrant issued by the State Attorney's Office.
The e-Warrants system (electronic warrants) enables information from the Clerk of the Court to electronically feed into the Sheriff's Office data base on a daily basis. In 2007 approximately 78% of the daily work load was processed electronically through the Clerk of the Court download. More than 74,000 active documents were maintained in the e-Warrants system during 2007. Warrants Unit personnel entered, modified, and filed an average of 581 documents per day.
