Join Sheriff John H. Rutherford, Chief Stephanie Sloan-Butler and the rest of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office to kick off fundraising efforts for the Annual Light the Night walk for the North Florida Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Sept. 28.
Since 1999, JSO has been involved in raising funds and awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This year, JSO provides an opportunity to win five themed baskets: Spa, FSU , Computer Fun, Family Time and Golf Time. Each of the baskets was created by a different JSO department and all items were donated by participating employees or sponsors. The tickets sell for $5 each or three for $10, and all proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In addition to the fundraising baskets, representatives throughout JSO are selling T-shirts and ball caps to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
During the 2005 Light the Night Walk, over 200 JSO employees participated .We look forward to increasing that amount for 2006.
