Thursday, November 15, 2007 Jacksonville, Fla.
On Nov. 14, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office held a county wide awareness campaign aimed at citizens who failed to adhere to the Move Over law. The law was enacted in July 2002 in an effort to prevent officers from being injured or killed by passing vehicles on the highways.
87 Move Over violations were given as a result of the citywide deployment.
