Announce enhanced reward on the murder investigation of Clay County juvenile Somer Thompson. $10,000 has been donated by concerned citizens and business owners in Clay and Duval counties. This will be in addition to the $4,000 already donated to FCCS for this case. (Plus the automatic $1,000 from Crime Stoppers. )$15,000 for a tip leading to an arrest if you call Crime Stoppers.
Wyllie will introduce Assistant Chief Tom Hackney, Crimes Against Persons, who will update us on the Riverside sexual assault involving three suspects. Crime Stoppers has received $4,000 from area residents and merchants who want to see these suspects arrested. That, combined with the $1,000 FCCS tip reward = $5,000 when an arrest is made from the tip.
Last case is the homicide of Clifford Backmann. An anonymous donor has offered $10,000, which will be paid out by Crime Stoppers to anyone offering a tip that leads to an arrest in this case. (Plus $1,000 FCCS reward.)
