Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) hosted the 26th Annual Law Enforcement Torch RunŽ for Special Olympics on April 13, 2007.

The Torch Run raises funds for the Special Olympic World Summer and Winter Games. JSO and participating agencies raised more that $8200 in sponsorships from the Pop Warner Football Conference, Greater Jacksonville Athletic Association, the Police Athletic League and through T-shirt and ball cap sales.

More that 200 athletes participated in this years event. Including JSO Academy recruits,the JSO Bike Club and for the first time ever, volunteers from Merrill Lynch.
