Police Officer of the Month
Sheriff John Rutherford and  Detective Craig E. Waldrup. Homicide Detective Waldrup was selected as the Police Officer of the Month for September 2006 because of his dedication and commitment to homicide victims and their families. 

Corrections Officer of the Month
Sheriff Rutherford and Corrections Officer of the Month, Reginald White. Officer  White was chosen as the Correctional Officer of the Month because of his dedication to the health and safety of the members of our community.

Civilian of the Month
Sheriff Rutherford and PST II Patricia Morgan. Morgan was chosen as the Civilian of the Month for September 2006 because of her role in the successful creation and implementation of the new web-based crash reporting system.

Reserve Officer of the Month
Sheriff Rutherford and Reserve Officer Steve A. Riska. Riska was chosen as the September 2006 Reserve Officer of the Month because of his outstanding dedication to protecting the lives, families and property of the residents of Jacksonville.

Police Supervisor of the Month
Sheriff Rutherford and Sergeant Charles A. Byrd. Sergeant Byrd was chosen as the September 2006 Police Supervisor of the Month because of his commitment to crime fighting and to the men and women of Zone 5.    

Life Saving Award
Sheriff Rutherford and Chief Jimmy Holderfield. Chief Holderfield received the Life Saving Award in September 2006 for the heroic measures he displayed while providing emergency response to retired Officer  Manning Woodley.
