Governor Charlie Crist Visits  to Jacksonville to Introduce the
Anti-Murder Bill Jan. 29, 2007

Sheriff John Rutherford greets Governor Charlie Crist at the  St. Matthews Christian Community Center to begin the ceremony recognizing the Anti-Murder Bill.


Later, Governor Crist, Mayor John Peyton and Sheriff Rutherford walked several communities directly across from St. Matthews. The officials walked from Myrtle to 28th Street, turned on Chase and traveled back to Myrtle on 29th Street.

 

During the walk, residents had the opportunity to speak with each leader about the Anti-Murder Bill and community concerns.

 

Governor Crist and Sheriff Rutherford took the opportunity to answer questions from local media. 

Governor Crist, Mayor Peyton and Sheriff Rutherford present a united front in the fight against crime.
