Police Officer of the Year  for 2007 Glen Morningstar

Sheriff John H. Rutherford and Corrections Officer of the Year for 2007 Ralphalontae W. Riley

Corrections Officer Ralphalontae W. Riley was the April 2006 Corrections Officer of the Month and is the Corrections Officer of the Year for 2007, because of his ability to quickly assess and defuse dangerous situations.


Civilian Employee of the Year 2007
Fingerprint Technician Angela M. Bindel.

Angela  earned Civilian Employee of the year because of her vigilance and dedication to the safety of children everywhere.

Angela will attend our February 22, 2007 Monthly Meritorious Awards Ceremony.


Sheriff John H. Rutherford and Reserve Sergeant of the Year Reserve Sergeant Ronald L. Allen.

Sergeant Allen  was originally recognized in as the Reserve Officer of the Month in October 2006 because he is the man to call when you need something done at Huguenot Park.  Sergeant Allen is the leader of the Huguenot Park Beach Patrol Program, and routinely spends over 20 hours per weekend providing a law enforcement presence there. "Reserve

Sheriff John H. Rutherford and Police Sergeant of the Year William J. Dobscha.

Sergeant Dobscha won Police Sergeant of the Month in July of 2006 for providing excellent police work during the previous year. And now JSO is  honoring Sergeant Bill Dobscha as the Police Supervisor of the Year for 2007, for his outstanding accomplishments as the supervisor for the Zone 3 Traffic Unit and for his continued great work and leadership in this very important assignment.

"Sergeant Bill Dobscha is the Police Supervisor of the Year for 2007 because he consistently provides the leadership and support that is necessary to run an exemplary Traffic Unit," said Sheriff Rutherford.


Sheriff John H. Rutherford and Corrections Sergeant Vanessa A. Tranquille
 

Corrections Sergeant Vanessa A. Tranquille is a 15-year-veteran of the Correction's Department and with each year of experience, Sergeant Tranquille's ability to lead and inspire others around her grows.

Because of her leadership skills she was the Corrections Supervisor of the Month for October 2006 and is now recognized as the Corrections Supervisor of the Year 2007.
