Sheriff Rutherford Plays with the Jacksonville Jam on First Responder Appreciation Day Feb. 11, 2007

The Jacksonville Jam designated Sunday Feb. 11th's game as a special thank-you to all First Coast "First Responders" and provided a twenty-five percent discount on tickets to all that First Responders who attended the game. |
"This was a great opportunity to show our support for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and all First Responders on the First Coast," said Felix Krupczynski, owner of the Jacksonville Jam. |

Sheriff Rutherford proved to be an excellent player. He scored 6 points during his first and only professional basketball game.

The Jacksonville Jam also invited children from the Police Athetic League to attend the game as well. The children were given the chance to meet Sheriff Rutherford and the Jacksonville Jam players.
