On July 23, 2007 Sheriff Rutherford and Zone 4 Assistant Chief Tom Hackney participated in a Crime Prevention Walk through the Meadow Pointe neighborhood.

Crime Prevention Walks are designed to give the Sheriff and police officers a chance to visit with citizens in Jacksonville neighborhoods.

Citizens are encouraged to meet the Sheriff and discuss concerns or issues that are relevant to their neighborhood. The walks are an excellent way for JSO to provide information about crime prevention.
