Police Emergency Communications Officer John Ortiz was July's Civilian of the Month because of his excellent call handling skills and his ability to remain calm under extreme pressure.

Richard Bradford was honored as the the Reserve Officer of the Month because of his 34 years of dedicated service to JSO.

Police Sergeant Avelino S. Elegino Avelino "Gino" was July's Police Supervisor of the Month because his experience, leadership and values serve as strong motivation for his officers in the Zone 3 Community Oriented Policing Strategies (COPS) Unit.

Corrections Sergeant Roberta V. Noegel was the Corrections Sergeant for July because of the many years of dedication she has demonstrated toward her job, her fellow officers and the JSO family.
Although Corrections Sergeant Roberta V. Noegel was unable to attend the ceremony, her work and dedication is still valued by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Officer Michael Duckworth received the Six Pillars of Character award because he helped make the potentially devastating event for a British family a positive memory of Jacksonville and the Sheriff's Office.
