Jacksonville & Clay County Sheriffs Meet to Launch the LINX System

Sheriff John Rutherford, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) and Sheriff Rick Beseler, Clay County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) held a joint media briefing on Feb. 8, 2007 at 9 am at the CCSO Orange Park Operations Center.

The Sheriff's covered the new Law Enforcement Information Exchange (LINX) and several other topics relating to cross-county crime fighting.

 

The LINX computer system is designed to take information gathered by law enforcement and make it accessible in a searchable system available to other law enforcement agencies. LINX includes incidents,names,aliases, addresses, mug shots, warrants and much more.


LINX training was provided to local police officers by Susan Bortzfield from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
