Holiday Schedule

Your Birthday

  • Renewal of motor vehicle license plate and vessel registrations, which are valid until midnight of the owner's birthday. Renewals are accepted 90 days prior to the birth month. This applies to passenger cars, recreational vehicles, light trucks under 5,000 pounds, small trailers, vessels, personal watercraft and motorcycles.

    JANUARY

  • Receive 2 percent discount on payment of property taxes.
  • Receive 2 percent  discount on payment of tangible personal property taxes.
  • Renew decals for mobile homes that are not assessed as Real Property before January 31.

    FEBRUARY

  • Receive 1 percent  discount on payment of property taxes.
  • Receive 1 percent  discount on payment of tangible personal property taxes.

    MARCH

  • Full amount due on property taxes by March 31.
  • Final (4th) property tax Installment Program payment due by March 31.
  • Taxpayers currently enrolled in the Installment Program do not need to reapply to continue the program.

    APRIL

  • All unpaid property taxes become delinquent April 1.
  • At this time, a 3 percent  interest charge is added to the gross amount.
  • Within 45 days, delinquent property taxes will be advertised in a local newspaper and the cost of advertising will be added to the delinquent bill.
  • All unpaid tangible personal property taxes become delinquent April 1. At this time a 1.5 percent  per month interest charge is added to the gross amount.
  • Within 45 days delinquent tangible personal property taxes will be advertised in a local newspaper and the cost of advertising will be added to the delinquent bill.
  • New occupational licenses are prorated beginning April 1st, half-year fees apply.
  • Applications for next year's property tax installment payment plan due by April 30.

    MAY

  • Tax warrant processing begins on delinquent tangible personal property taxes May 1.
  • List of delinquent taxes advertised in local newspaper one time.
  • List of delinquent real estate taxes advertised once per week for three consecutive weeks prior to tax certificate sale in a local newspaper.

    JUNE

  • Tax certificate sale for delinquent real estate taxes begins on or before June 1.
  • First property tax Installment Plan payment due on or before June 1.
  • If this payment is not remitted by June 30, participation in the program is canceled.
  • Registration renewals of company-owned motor vehicles (under 5,000 pounds) due by June 30.
  • AUGUST

  • Occupational License renewals begin August 1.

    SEPTEMBER

  • Occupational License renewals due by September 30.
  • Second property tax Installment Program payment due by September 30.

    OCTOBER

  • Occupational Licenses become delinquent October 1.
    Late fees applied.

    NOVEMBER

  • Collection of property taxes and tangible personal property taxes begins.
  • Receive a 4 percent discount on payment if made by November 30.

    DECEMBER

  • Receive a 3 percent  discount on payment of property taxes.
  • Receive a 3 percent  discount on payment of tangible personal property taxes.
  • Third property tax Installment Program payment due by December 31.
  • Registration and renewal of trucks over 5000 pounds, truck-trailers, semi-trailers, nine-passenger and over vehicles for hire due by December 31.
