Disabled Services Directory This directory of agencies, put together by the Disabled Services Division of the Community Services Department, outlines key services and programs aimed at improving the quality of life of all Jacksonville citizens.

Disabled Services Division The Disabled Services Division works to increase awareness of the accomplishments and needs of disabled citizens. It monitors federal and state legislation regarding disabled issues and advises staff regarding city compliance. It also assists the Mayor's Disability Council, a 13-member board that seeks to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.

JTA Transportation Buses equipped with wheelchair lifts are available on many routes. Check the schedule cover for the wheelchair symbol or call bus information at (904)RideJTA (743-3582) to find out which routes provide this service. We provide priority seating for our senior citizens and persons with disabilities at the front of every bus. Wheelchair tie-downs are available on about 40 percent of JTA's bus fleet.
