Community in Action: Foundation Reports
Call to Action

Introduction

Blueprint for Prosperity, which began in April 2005, represents a collaborative network of more than 330 partnering organizations, agencies, businesses and government entities brought together in pursuit of the common goal of increasing economic prosperity in Duval County while improving the quality of life for everyone in our community.

The Blueprint Executive Committee represents a cross-section of community volunteers composed of business leaders, educators, nonprofit executives, former city council members, faith community representatives and other interested community stewards.   They share a common commitment to improving the quality of life in our community and pursuing Blueprint for Prosperity's goals.

Through a collaborative community-wide process, a strategic plan (PDF) was created to achieve Blueprint's objectives. Key Benchmarks were selected to measure progress.  By analyzing these Key Benchmarks, this report outlines areas where progress is being made, along with areas requiring additional community focus and involvement.

The 2008 Community Progress Report documents many outstanding achievements by our Blueprint Partners over the past 18 months.  It highlights some significant gains in our Key Benchmarks, but also points out serious challenges that our community must address.  They represent your opportunity to get engaged in this community-wide effort.
