Community Empowerment ExpoThe Community Empowerment Expo (CEE) took place Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Downtown Main Library, 303 N. Laura St.

CEE offered tangible resources and result-producing workshops to people who live below, at or just above the poverty line.  This program was carefully designed to bring businesses and non-profits together to provide real help to individuals seeking to improve their economic situation.

Expo Features

  • 19 workshops covered how to be more financially fit and career building to managing health and Social Security benefits.
  • More than 50 event partners included business, non-profits and organizations providing resources.
  • Children's activities for youth ages 3 to 10 years-old
