Blueprint for Prosperity

What is Blueprint for Prosperity?
Blueprint is a 15-year commitment (2005-2020) to increase economic opportunity and raise the income of Duval County residents.  By analyzing key benchmarks annually and focusing on strategies in the six Community Foundations pictured above, individuals and organizations working cooperatively are producing measurable changes that mean a better city for everyone.

How Does Blueprint Work?
Through creative alliances, businesses and organizations implement Blueprint strategies, collaborating—often for the first time—on important community issues ranging from innovative youth programs to reducing violent crime to improving workforce skills.

Blueprint Partners make significant contributions toward improving schools, creating jobs, enhancing quality of life, eliminating racial barriers, upgrading infrastructure and making leadership more effective.  Not everything can be done at once, of course, but over time, hundreds of efforts focused on specific Blueprint strategies—some affecting thousands of workers and some affecting a single classroom—will lead to the outcomes required to meet the Blueprint's goals.

Can my organization or business still become a Blueprint Partner?
If you're committed to making Jacksonville better, of course you can participate.  It's easy.  Just click here to start the process!

Blueprint for Prosperity has released Community Progress Reports in February 2007 and in December 2008.
