Mayor John Peyton today announced that the City of Jacksonville has donated its tickets to the Jan. 30, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds concert to the PACE Center for Girls, Jacksonville. This highly anticipated concert has quickly become one of the biggest shows of the year, selling out performances all around the country.
 
“PACE Center for Girls makes a difference in the lives of our adolescent girls,” said Peyton, “and that makes a difference in our city.  I’m happy that we can extend this opportunity to some girls who are working to turn their lives around.”

As part of its ownership of Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Area, the City of Jacksonville receives tickets at no cost to certain events at that venue.  Tickets are distributed to non-profit organizations and community leaders in appreciation for their efforts. Tickets are also distributed to employees as part of the city’s internal recognition program.

PACE Center for Girls, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation that provides a non-residential delinquency prevention program in locations statewide, targeting the unique needs of young women and girls ages 12 to 18 who are identified as at risk.
