Program Summary

The program goal is to transition 25 custodial child care facilities in Zone 1 into early learning centers. Quality Support teams provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary program that will impact the educational development and mental/social health of children located in the centers. Coaching and technical assistance will be provided to directors and staff, screening and assessment will occur of the children, educational scholarships will be provided to participating child care teachers, parent involvement will be encouraged through a parenting component, mental health services will be provided to those children with need and environmental support will be provided to improve the overall quality of the program delivery in the centers.
