Mayor John PeytonMessage from Mayor Peyton
"The City of Jacksonville is a great place to do business and raise a family. As mayor, my top three priorities are cleaning up our river, ensuring robust economic development and protecting the safety of our residents. I am proud to serve as this city's mayor, and even prouder to call Jacksonville home."

Mayor's Final Budget Proposal
Mayor Peyton presented his eighth and final city budget to members of the City Council on Wednesday, July 14, 2010.  The budget detailed a $22 million reduction in operating expenses from the 2009/2010 budget and represented, in the mayor's words, "difficult decisions in an incredibly challenging fiscal environment."
Up next:  Members of the City Council's Finance Committee will hold public meetings to discuss the mayor's budget.

Mayor Hosts Families of Deployed City Workers
Prior to the final Jaguar pre-season game on Sept. 2, Mayor Peyton hosted a tailgate party at Everbank Field for families of city employees who are currently on military deployment.
