Police Officer of the Month Misty Lederman Unfortunately, Misty was unable to attend the ceremony. She was coordinating the Summit on Teenage Drinking at the Fraternal Order of Police headquarters on Beach Blvd. We look forward to recognizing Misty during the April 26th Ceremony.

Reserve Officer of the Month Timothy R. Hinson Reserve Officer Timothy R. Hinson was honored as the Reserve Officer of the month because he took the time to teach 10 crime prevention classes during Neighborhood Watch meetings in the fall of 2006.

Civilian of the Month Latent Print Examiner Richard T. Kocik Latent Print Examiner Richard T. Kocik recieved his honors because he is an excellent forensic fingerprint examiner capable of producing identifications in major cases.

Six Pillars of Character Award- NEW
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has partnered with Character Counts! in Jacksonville to present the first monthly Six Pillars of Character Award at the March Meritorious Awards Ceremony. The award is for any JSO employee who demonstrates one of the Six Pillars of Character; trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. Nominations are open to the public.
