The JEPB Ad Hoc Committee on Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) Prevention is convening a group of stakeholders to secure input on several topics involved with the prevention of SSOs.  The topics are the areas which are most recurring in enforcement items that come before the Board.  This information will assist the committee in their consideration of possible actions that they may undertake to address the issue.

The City of Jacksonville, in coordination with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and 4th Circuit State Attorney’s Office, is partnering with the nonprofit Cure Violence to assist in developing community resources to reduce crime and stop violence. Cure Violence stops the spread of violence by using the methods and strategies associated with disease control – detecting and interrupting conflicts, identifying and treating the highest risk individuals, and changing social norms.
