Former Council Member Sharon Copeland 7/1/2003-6/30/2007

Sharon is a lifelong resident of Mandarin. Growing up off Scott Mill Road, Sharon attended Loretto Elementary School, duPont Junior High School and graduated from Wolfson High School.

Sharon is also a graduate of Jacksonville University. At JU, she pursued a course of study in psychology and sociology. Sharon will be the first to tell you that her years as a counselor have made her an excellent listener and problem solver.

Sharon is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She has been married to her husband, Dan, for 32 years. Dan and Sharon have two grown sons, Brady and Justin. Brady and his wife Regan, a public school teacher, with a 1 year old son Jackson, live in Mandarin. Justin, who runs the Title Division of the Law Firm of Daniel M. Copeland, and his fiance Jennifer also live in Mandarin.

The Copelands also have four great four-legged children, Mason, Moose, and Emma, who are German Shorthair Pointers, and Scooter, who is a precious little mixed breed found in South Carolina on a deserted stretch of highway.

Sharon works with the Law Firm of Daniel M. Copeland, P.A. where she is the Law Firm Administrator and Vice President of Investor Resources, Inc. as well as an adoption counselor/birth parent advocate. Sharon enjoys her work in the field of adoption and looks forward to spending more time educating people regarding adoption in the future.

In her 'spare' time, Sharon enjoys gardening, cooking, walking, reading, traveling and is a fan of the University of Florida Gators, Jacksonville University Dolphins, and NASCAR! Her favorite of all is spending quality time with her family; two legged and four legged.

Sharon, Dan, Brady, Regan and Justin are all members of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior in Mandarin.
