City Council - Sunshine Law and Public Records Law Training

Notice is hereby given that Council President Gregory B. Anderson, Carla Miller, Office of Ethics and Oversight with the assistance of the Office of General Counsel, and  Director/ Council Secretary call a meeting of the Jacksonville City Council for Mandatory State Sunshine Training.

In accordance with Section 4 – Section 112.3142 Florida Statutes (Ethics training for specified constitutional officers): complete 4 hours of ethics training annually that addresses, at a minimum, s. 8, Art. II of the State Constitution, the Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees, and the public records and public meetings laws of this state. This requirement may be satisfied by completion of a continuing legal education class or other continuing professional education class, seminar, or presentation if the required subjects are covered.

 

The following meeting schedule has been set for the Mandatory State Sunshine Training Session to be held on:

Time:               8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.  Continental Breakfast

                        9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.   Training Sessions

Location:         Lynwood Roberts Room - 1st Floor of City Hall – St.

                        James Building, located at 117 W. Duval Street

                        Jacksonville, Florida 32202
