Grant Application Policies and Procedures

Although many cities and municipalities have a tourism developing body to market their city as a destination to business and leisure travelers, the Duval County Tourist Development Council is rare in that among its many responsibilities, it provides grant money for special events, conferences or conventions. Organizations or individuals planning these types of activities and needing assistance to pay for advertising or operational expenses must meet certain criteria along with being approved by the TDC for grant consideration.

In order to better understand the TDC grant application process, these guidelines have been developed to walk the applicant through the process from start to finish. The grant process is made up of four steps: application, presentation, offer/acceptance and disbursement.
