MOSH is excited to host the premiere of La Caroline: Jacksonville’s Rock Opera. This ground-breaking production is directed by Samuel Fisher and choreographed by Tiffany Fish with costumes by Dana Ferger. La Caroline brings to light the French, Timucuan, and Spanish lives that converged at Ft. Caroline in 1564 to make us who we are today, for better or for worse. Drama and dance collide with contemporary rock performed live on MOSH’s rooftop to illuminate these fascinating characters and their stories. La Caroline, six years in the making, is written by Jacksonville musician and playwright Jennifer Chase with original music by John E. Citrone. It is produced by aJENNda productions and Jim Alabiso, LEAP Collaborative.
Tickets to the October 16 through 18 performances are $27.50; tickets to the October 24 Gala Performance are $37.50 which include a post-performance rooftop reception. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; performances start at 8:00 p.m. Purchase tickets at www.themosh.org.
