The St. Johns River Ferry

St Johns River Ferry, Jean RibaultNamed after the renowned French explorer, the Jean Ribault launched from Atlantic DryDock and Marine in Jacksonville in 1996. The 40-car capacity Jean Ribault is the primary vessel used in the St. Johns River Ferry service. The vessel features two independent computerized propulsion systems, as well as modern navigation systems including radar, DGPS and communication equipment.

Jean Ribault Middle School

Ribault Middle has a long history of excellence and continues to be a pillar in the Northside Community of Jacksonville. Jean Ribault Middle School is located in Jacksonville, FL and we are proud to be one of 47 middle schools in Duval Public School System that serves over 600 students in grades 6-8. Ribault Middle School is the only gender-based school in North Florida. Gender-based classes allow our students to excel in subjects generally dominated by the opposite sex.

Jean Ribault High School

Ribault High School TrojansJean Ribault High School provides a comprehensive instructional program to meet the demands of its students. The school offers a wide range of Advanced Placement, Early College and the International Baccalaureate Programme courses. The Science department maintains an active relationship with several Research Triangle facilities. The school is also to the Academy of Business & Finance and US Marine Corps Junior ROTC programs. Students may study to earn a Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in addition to other Academy business classes. Highly specialized or advanced courses which may not be available to most high school students are taught electronically through the Accelerated Learning Lab and the Florida Virtual School. Most classes at the school follow a block schedule, although a few specialized classes are on a modified block schedule.

The Ribault Club

Ribault ClubThe Ribault Club was established in 1928 as a playground for the affluent, much like the "millionaire's club" on neighboring Jekyll Island. The Club has been the site of many memorable parties and events over the years, hosting foreign dignitaries, captains of industry and society mavens.

Huguenot Memorial Park

Birds at sunset in Huguenot ParkHuguenot Park offers visitors waterfront campsites, a bird observation area, and gorgeous views of some of North Florida's most spectacular landscapes. Amenities include swimming, fishing, surfing, a boat launch area, picnic shelters, restrooms, and shower facilities. The park is also a part of the Great Florida Birding Trail

The Ribault River

The Ribault River is a 6.4 mile (10.3 km) long tributary of the Trout River, located in Jacksonville, Florida. Named after Jean Ribault, its headwaters are near Old Kings Road at an elevation of 7 feet (2.1m) above sea level. The River cuts through the forest floor near its source, that portion being classified as a creek. The St. Johns River, Ribault River and many other tributaries such as the Trout River all flow north.
