Housing Discrimination
The Jacksonville Human Rights Commission (JHRC) is a local law enforcement agency that investigates civil rights complaints alleging discrimination. If you feel you have been discriminated against based on your race, color, national origin, religion, sex, handicap/disability, marital status, or familial status you may file a complaint, in writing, under oath with the JHRC. Based on the facts obtained during the initial interview, JHRC may file a formal complaint against the person and/or organization you name. Please note this in not a lawsuit.
