Our Work & Guiding Principles for Jacksonville's Children
The Jacksonville Children’s Commission works with local nonprofit organizations to improve the health and lives of children in Duval. The Commission monitors its programs for effectiveness and outcomes, focusing on prevention, early intervention, and support programs for families and children 0 – 18. The organization’s work is aligned with its four guiding principles: children grow and develop during out-of-school time; have stable and nurturing families
; enter kindergarten prepared to learn;
and get intervention and special help when needed.
