Florida Children's Services Council (FCSC)
The Jacksonville Children's Commission is a member of the
Florida Children's Services Council (FCSC) which supports primary prevention and early intervention programs that promote positive family functioning.
Each year the FCSC identifies and monitors primary legislative issues and leads the charge to speak on behalf of children and youth.
The Children’s Movement of Florida
The Children's Movement of Florida is a citizen-led, non-partisan movement to educate political, business and civic leaders -- and all parents of the state of Florida -- about the urgent need to substantially improve the way we care for our children. Led by Chairman David Lawrence, Jr., The Children’s Movement identified five key priority issues for the 2011 Legislative Agenda—Health Care, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten, Special Needs Screening, Mentoring and Parenting. Tobacco-Free Jacksonville Coalition
The Tobacco-Free Jacksonville Coalition is a local community partnership of adults and youth working together to prevent youth tobacco use and youth exposure to second-hand smoke, whereby youth conceive and carry out tobacco prevention. Tobacco-Free Jacksonville Coalition is a resource for public education on the health effects of tobacco and smoking prevention.
