JFRD Fast Facts

The Jacksonville Fire/Rescue Department serves about 900,000 residents in an area covering 840 square miles. The department employs more than 1,200 uniformed personnel.

JFRD's budget for Fiscal Year 2011/12 is $161 million.

There are five divisions:

JFRD has 54 fire stations, 51 engine companies and 34 rescue units.
