Our Chiefs


The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department's executive leadership has more than 120 combined years of fire service experience. The leadership team is appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Jacksonville City Council.
 
Chief Martin Senterfitt leads the Fire and Rescue Department and the Emergency Preparedness Division. He joined JFRD in 1988.
 
Chief Ivan Mote leads the Rescue Division. He joined JFRD in 1988.

Chief Eleanor Byrd leads the Training Division. She joined JFRD in 1991.

Chief Chip Drysdale leads the Operations Division. He joined JFRD in 1995. 
 
Chief Kurtis Wilson leads the Administrative Services Division. He joined JFRD in 1994.
