Honor Guard

The JFRD Honor Guard serves at the funerals of firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty as well as retired firefighters. The Honor Guard also represents the Fire and Rescue Department at city events, community activities and church functions in which a color guard is needed to present the flag.

Twenty firefighters selected from the Operations and Rescue divisions serve on the Honor Guard. Those who serve have demonstrated commitment, willingness to serve others, self-sacrificing spirit, compassion and respect.
