The City of Jacksonville's Sports & Entertainment Office works alongside several community partners to actively recruit, host and support many events that call Jacksonville, Florida home.  The office is responsible for sports, special events and film & television production. It is further responsible for directing the city’s facility manager (SMG) to operate city-owned facilities such as EverBank Field, Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, Prime Osborn Convention Center, Times Union Center for the Performing and the Ritz Theatre & Museum.

The Office of Special Events serves as a valuable community resource for events by managing the special event permit application process, the rental of Metropolitan Park and maintains an online calendar of community events. The Film & Television Office assists local and visiting productions with facilitating permits, provides scouting services and engages the local workforce as the liaison between the production company and the local industry. Jacksonville and Northeast Florida have some of the most state-of-the-art facilities in the nation for hosting sporting, entertainment and cultural events of all kinds. The city's facilities, along with its superb weather, beaches, thriving downtown and highly experienced staff, make Jacksonville the best choice for your next event.
