The City of Jacksonville's Sports & Entertainment Office leads the city's direction in sports, special events and film & television production. It is further responsible for directing the city’s facility manager (SMG) to operate city-owned facilities such as EverBank Field, Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, Prime Osborn Convention Center, Times Union Center for the Performing Arts and the Ritz Theatre & Museum.
The Office of Special Events serves as a valuable community resource for events by managing the special event permit application process, the rental of Metropolitan Park and maintains an online calendar of community events. The Film & Television Office assists local and visiting productions with facilitating permits, provides scouting services and engages the local workforce as the liaison between the production company and the local industry.

The top 10 men’s and women’s curling teams in the country will be coming to Jacksonville for the 2016 USA Curling National Championships at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena starting February 6, 2016.

The Seminoles and Gators are coming back to town! The annual Florida vs. Florida State Baseball game will be held at the Jacksonville Baseball Grounds on March 29th, 2016. First pitch is at 6:00p.m.
