Microchipping

Did you know that 1 in 3 pets will go missing at some point during their lifetime? A registered microchip and a visible collar and tag dramatically increase the chance that your pet will make it home safely to you.
Microchips contain a unique number used to identify your animal when scanned by a shelter or vet. The number is used to find the owner’s contact information in a registry. A microchip is not a tracking or GPS device.

If your pet doesn’t have a microchip ACPS can help. Email Jaxpets@coj.net to set up an appointment to have your pets microchipped. The cost to microchip your pet is only $10 and it’s always free to keep your information up to date.

Is your pet already microchipped? Make sure to keep your pet’s information current and up to date. Visit www.found.org to find out how you can store all your pets microchip information in one location.
