PUBLIC NOTICE: Federal Grant Applications Available

The City of Jacksonville’s Housing and Community Development Division (HCDD) announces that the 2018-2019 applications are available for the following City of Jacksonville Consolidated Plan federal, state and local grant programs:
  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
  • Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
  • Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA)

PLEASE NOTE: Online proposals for non-housing related activities will be accepted from public and private non-profit 501(c)(3) agencies until Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:59 PM.

CDBG Projects must meet one of the following national objectives:
  • Benefiting low-and moderate-income persons, or
  • Aiding in the elimination or prevention of slum and blight.

Mandatory Technical Assistance Workshops

All non-profit 501 (c)(3) agencies applying for funds are required to attend a mandatory technical assistance workshop. At the workshops, Housing and Community Development staff will review the grant application process, proper eligibility and provide information to assist with application preparation. Please call HCDD office at (904) 255-8200 to register for a workshop.

No applications will be accepted from agencies that have not attended at least one mandatory technical assistance workshop and ONE mandatory budget workshop. The mandatory budget workshop must be attended by the agency’s financial staff responsible for managing the federal, state or local grant. If after attending the workshops, applicants need additional assistance, HCDD staff will be available by appointment only at 214 N Hogan Street, 7th Floor. Please call (904) 255-8200 beginning January 22, 2018 to schedule.
If any non-English speaking persons or person with mobility, visual or hearing impairments wish to attend the workshops and have special needs, please notify HCDD staff at 255-8200, in advance, so that accommodations may be made.
