YouthBuild is a comprehensive youth and development program that simultaneously addresses a variety of core issues facing low-income communities.  YouthBuild provides GED instruction, job readiness, job placement, on-site counseling, life skills, behavior management and construction skills available for participants.  The program creates an environment that motivates incarcerated male youth ages 16-24 and gives them the oppotunity to succeed.  The program has also enhanced the mayor's policy to provide better living situations for Jacksonville's low income residents especially in the Intensive Care Neighborhoods.  We proudly have been recognized nationally as a best practice model and a winner of the city's highest honor in the Volunteer Service, the "Heart of the City Award".
