The PLWHAA Committee usually meets on the second Thursday of each month, with the exception of September. Meetings are from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at 1809 Art Museum Drive (Building 3400), Jacksonville, FL.

PLWHAA is a committee under the auspices of the Metropolitan Jacksonville Area HIV Health Services Planning Council. Committee meetings are open to the public and comply with the Government in the Sunshine Law. PLWHAA Committee meetings provide information on a variety of topics of interest to the HIV infected and/or affected community, and attendees have the opportunity to meet, greet, and foster comradery. The PLWHAA Committee is not a support group; it is a public meeting.

Guests are welcomed at all of our meetings. Membership is open to:

  • Those infected with HIV
  • Family members and friends of a HIV positive individual 
  • Concerned individuals who have an interest in improving care, increasing medical research, and finding a cure for HIV/AIDS, 
  • Employees of community based or AIDS service organizations, and
  • Community leaders and citizens concerned about the epidemic in the Jacksonville and surrounding area
