The Current Planning Division addresses short-term growth and development issues through review of proposed zoning changes.

 

The Current Planning Division consists of professional planning staff and administrative clerical support who assist the public with questions relating to the Zoning Code, zoning verification, permitting and application processes for zoning changes. The division provides review and recommendations on all Current Planning applications, conducts public hearings on administrative deviations, and administers zoning overlay districts for the Downtown, Mayport, Springfield, and San Marco.

 

Current Planning Division is responsible for the administration and professional support to the following provisions of the Jacksonville Ordinance Code: Chapter 654, Subdivision Regulations, and Chapter 656, Zoning Code.
