Parking in the commercial districts throughout the Riverside/Avondale area of Jacksonville presents a challenge, both in the number and availability of spaces and with commercial business employees and customers utilizing residential streets for overflow parking outside the commercial zoning districts. The two areas to be addressed in this Study are the Park Street/King Street area and the Shoppes of Avondale area.

This Study will examine these issues and analyze existing and future parking demands associated with each area being studied and provide applicable recommendations/solutions/alternatives. An ongoing public outreach component will be implemented in order to receive input from stakeholders and the general public.
