Director of Corrections, Jimmy A. Holderfield - Advisory V. Chair

Jimmy was elected to fill a Police position of a retiring member on the Pension Advisory Committee, and is now serving his first term.

Jimmy began his career in 1978 as a Correctional Officer recruit. He was promoted to Police Officer in 1980, and in 1985, was an alternate for the K-9 unit. From Sept., 1986 until Sept., 1991, he served as President of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1993 and Assistant Chief of Corrections in 2001. In March, 2003 he was appointed Assistant Chief of Prisons Division and in July of the same year became Assistant Chief of Patrol. Since 2006, he served as Chief of JSO Human Resources until October 30, 2010 when he was appointed Director of Corrections.
