Police Sergeant Robert 'Ellis' Burns III

Ellis was elected to fill a Police position of a retiring member on the Pension Advisory Committee, and is now serving his first term.

Ellis began his career as a Police Officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office in October, 2000. He graduated from the University of North Florida in August, 2000 with a B.S. in Political Science and Criminal Justice. He is an active member of the JSO Honor Guard.

He was promoted to Sergeant in October, 2008. He is currently assigned to the Secondary Employment Unit and is also a Field Training Sergeant.
