Welcome to the City Of Jacksonville Public Records Request Center


The Florida Public Records Law Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, is designed to give the public access to records in the possession of public agencies. Our office processes record requests of which the City of Jacksonville is the custodian. Requests for records within the custodianship of other independent government agencies should be directed to the appropriate agency.

Public records means all documents, papers, letters, maps, books, tapes, photographs, films, sound recordings, data processing software, or other material regardless of the physical form, characteristics or means of transmission, made or received pursuant to law or ordinance or in connection with the transaction of official business by any agency.
