Streetscapes & Town Centers

The Department of Public Works partnered with community groups and the city's Planning and Housing offices to oversee the final design and construction of projects in the Town Center Program. For more information about Town Centers, contact Kenny Logsdon at 255-8237. Note:  there are currently no plans to continue or expand the Town Center Initiative program.

Streetscape projects are typically not as intensive as road widening projects. Generally, target areas are enhanced with features such as landscaping, brick or paver sidewalks and accents, specialized crosswalks or historic light fixtures, though drainage or utility improvements may also be included in the scope of work.
