Mayor's Disability Council Employee of the Quarter

Employees with disabilities diversify many businesses, agencies and organizations in Jacksonville. The Mayor's Disability Council has created the Employee of the Quarter Award to recognize and promote examples of excellence in the Jacksonville disability workforce.

The nomination process is easy. You may either nominate yourself, a hard working employee or a co-worker that you believe represents excellence for people with disabilities working in Jacksonville, Florida.

Quarterly winners will be invited to the Mayor's Disability Council Meeting to accept their award. With permission, a picture of the winner and their story will be posted here to inspire others.

Most Recent Award Winner (August 2011)

Sean Pozin Awarded MDC Employee of the QuarterCongratulations to Sean Pozin for his recent commendation from the Mayor's Disability Council. Sean received the Employee of the Quarter award for his excellent work as an imaging specialist at CSX.

"CSX has been a wonderful corporation to work for," says Pozin. "One of the things about CSX is, as they say in their core values, that people make the difference. I've met many wonderful people and I've never felt like they treated me any differently."

The award reads:
In recognition of excellence exhibited by a person with a disability who has been a shining example in the Jacksonville work force and who has not allowed barriers to impede their success.
