Exploring JaxParks Photo Contest
This photography competition is free and open to all ages.
Eligibility: All photos must be taken in and represent a JaxParks facility. Please note that the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is not a JaxParks facility.
Images: By selecting the submit button at the bottom of the page and submitting photograph(s) the contestant agrees to allow JaxParks to use his/her photograph(s) in JaxParks print and online promotional materials, including www.jaxparks.com, Facebook /FriendsofJaxParks and Twitter/JaxParks. Images not considered family-friendly will not be accepted for the purpose of this contest.
Entry Limit: Limit of five photographs per entry, per category.
Categories: Contestants may enter one or both categories:
Online photography - Photos may be submitted from any digital device including a digital camera or smart phone. No image pixel requirements apply. Images may be vertical or horizontal.
Twelve winning photographs will be selected and displayed online at www.jaxparks.com and in a photo library displayed on JaxParks’ Facebook page. Contestants submitting selected images will also be recognized on both sites. Photos will remain on jaxparks.com through the end of 2011.
2012 Calendar: Photographs must be digital format, horizontal in the proportions of 8 x 10 with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
Fourteen winning photographs will be selected for display in JaxParks 2012 calendar, along with contestant recognition. JaxParks will produce 500 calendars for distribution to the general public. The calendar will also be available for download online. Images may also be displayed in additional JaxParks’ print and online publications.
Image submission: Submit all photographs via email by selecting the submit button at the bottom of this page. All entries must include your name, date of birth (month/year), the name of the park in which the photograph was taken, date the photograph was taken and your e-mail contact information. If the contestant is under the age of 16, parental consent is needed. Incomplete entries will not be accepted.
Entry Deadline: Deadline to enter is August 31, 2011.
