Friday August 5, 2011 there was a big turn out today. About 50 volunteers from Celebration came out and had fun with the community kids. There was a limbo contest. Also the kids did arts and crafts there was basketball and swimming. Celebration volunteers came out and interacted with the community children. Celebration grilled hamburgers, hotdogs and sausages. One of their volunteers gave away bicycles and fixed tires. Also the SNL employees and some Celebration did the flash mob dance tonight.
Saturday August 6, 2011 It was a great day… The nutritionist came and fixed taco salad, fruit and sandwiches. Also we had music outside and the community danced. Had indoor games and arts and crafts…. Basketball…. Some of the staff went to the pool for a while.
Friday August 12, 2011 was the last Friday of the SNL’s event. Despite the weather the center had quite a bit of people. About 50 volunteers from Celebration came out and had fun with the community kids. There was a limbo contest. Also the kids did arts and crafts there was basketball and swimming. Celebration volunteers came out and interacted with the community children. Celebration grilled hamburgers, hotdogs and sausages. One of their volunteers gave away bicycles and fixed tires. Also the SNL employees were getting ready for the talent show tomorrow. Also Celebration gave out school supplies.
Saturday August 13, 2011 was the last Saturday and last day of the SNL event. Also there was a nutritionist that came out and did a presentation on eating wealthy. She had Publix’s chicken, ham sandwiches, fresh fruit, and pasta salad. Also she gave our cake as an goodbye and thank you for coming. The Mitchell Center had a talent show for the local community. Many of the community I must say had a lot of talent. Also Mr. Taylor stops by and the whole Mitchell Center Staff wish him the best with his leg. The kids were sad to see us leave them. But as a person I am happy to make a difference in the community. These kids have grown on the entire SNL staff.
